What we need is a European Republic. Sounds crazy? Well, quite logical after you listened to Ulrike Guérot’s talk. Besides leading the department for European Policy and the Study of Democracy, Ulrike is the founder of the European Democracy Lab in Berlin, dedicated to the idea of a European Republic. Prior to that she has worked in several international think-tanks. In 2016 she published her book “Why Europe needs to become a Republic! A political utopia”.
